Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

• Drive tractor-trailers with an emphasis on both safety and productivity.
• Confirm the roadworthiness of the vehicle through meticulous inspections before and after the journey.
• Create optimized delivery schedules to increase productivity and meet time constraints.
• Follow the necessary protocols for handling and packaging to protect goods during transportation.
• Ensure open and steady communication with dispatchers and customers.
• Keep careful records of work hours and perform scheduled vehicle maintenance reviews.
• Ensure full compliance with the safety regulations and guidelines outlined by the Department of Transportation (DOT).
• Reporting vehicle problems, incidents, or violations promptly is essential to ensure compliance.

Qualifications:

• Meeting the requirements for a Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Clear driving record devoid of any serious offenses.
• Adhering to the DOT's expectations for physical examinations and substance abuse evaluations.
• Having strong skills in time management and organization is essential.
• Proficient in the safe and secure management of large or oversized cargo during transportation.
• Proficient in providing top-notch customer service and dedicated to fostering relationships.
• Ensuring the consistent implementation of safety measures and compliance with regulations, including promptly reporting any incidents.

Experience Levels Accepted:

• CDL Trainees
• CDL School Graduates
• Participants in our structured 12-week training program for new commercial drivers, designed to accelerate skill development for drivers with experience ranging from three months to five years.

Preferred Experience:

• Skill in managing various trailer models, like dry van, refrigerated, flatbed, and tanker trailers.
• Hands-on involvement in a range of unit operations, combination vehicle functionalities, and intermodal transport techniques.
• Proficiency in managing household belongings and unique cargo handling.
