Responsibilities:

• Maneuver tractor-trailers while placing significant importance on both road safety and operational efficiency.
• Engage in thorough examinations both prior to departure and upon arrival to guarantee the vehicle is in a suitable condition for travel.
• Develop strategies to optimize delivery routes for increased efficiency and timely completion.
• Secure the safe delivery of items by following proper handling and packaging procedures.
• Preserve clear and continuous communication with dispatchers and customers.
• Make sure to accurately document hours worked and carry out routine vehicle maintenance examinations.
• Adhere strictly to the safety regulations and guidelines provided by the Department of Transportation (DOT).
• Uphold compliance standards by promptly reporting any vehicle-related issues, occurrences, or violations.

Qualifications:

• Evidence of a Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Flawless driving record exhibiting a lack of significant violations.
• Complying with the DOT's standards for physical examinations and substance checks.
• Efficiently managing time and organizing tasks are key skills to have.
• Skill set in securely handling and transporting significant or oversized loads with proficiency.
• Proficiency in customer service highlighted by a commitment to nurturing relationships with clientele.
• A strong focus on adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements, with a commitment to timely reporting of incidents.

Experience Levels Accepted:

• CDL Trainees
• CDL School Graduates
• Participants in our structured 12-week training program for new commercial drivers, designed to accelerate skill development for drivers with experience ranging from three months to five years.

Preferred Experience:

• Efficiency in handling a range of trailer types, such as dry van, refrigerated, flatbed, and tanker trailers.
• Skill in handling various unit operations, combining vehicles, and utilizing multiple transportation modes effectively.
• Skill in the proper handling of household belongings and unique cargo.
