Job Description Summary:

$15,000 SIGN-ON BONUS

A sign-on bonus of $15,000 is available for external applicants, newly licensed internal candidates, and returning employees who have been absent from the workplace for more than 90 days, provided they commit to a one-year duration of employment.

As part of their role, the MRI Technologist readies individuals for scans by conducting comprehensive screening interviews, supports the radiologist during the scanning process, manages the operation of MRI equipment for different diagnostic procedures, monitors and replenishes supplies in specific rooms, and fulfills on-call duties as designated.


The full-time role is based at Grady Memorial Hospital in Delaware, Ohio, and specifically requires working the evening shift.


INFORMATION SECURITY

Ensures the privacy of log-on passwords and safeguards the security of additional authentication devices, such as key fobs and proximity tools.

Guarantees that the entrusted data is secure and private.

Employees should only access company assets and information for approved managerial objectives.

Consistently follows the protocols and measures for safeguarding privacy and security information.

Reports information security breaches promptly to the OhioHealth Information Security Officer.


RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Runs MRI devices, such as the magnet, injectors, standalone control panels, patient physiological monitors, and cardiac monitoring gear.

Adjusts equipment to customize pulse sequences depending on the specific body part and diagnosis.

Displays proper and sufficient anatomical positioning expertise.

Carries out regular checks to verify system safety and uphold quality control measures each day.

Forwarding images to PACS for review.

Transferring pictures to a standalone console for additional processing.

Modifies and processes images to optimize them for radiologist analysis and diagnosis.

Manages the implementation of MRI contrast agents

Physical demands refer to the tasks and activities that may require physical effort, while work environment encompasses the surroundings and atmosphere in which work is conducted

In the performance of job tasks, individuals must regularly walk, manipulate objects with their hands, extend their arms to reach, and communicate verbally. Sitting is only necessary on occasion, and there is often a need to lift or mobilize objects weighing 50 pounds or less. This position requires specific visual acuity including the ability to see up close, far distances, and distinguish between colors. Typically, the work environment maintains a moderate level of noise.


Bloodborne pathogen exposure categories for employees are defined by OSHA regulations:

Minimum Qualifications:

The ARRT is a well-known organization that sets standards for the practice of radiologic technology and provides certification for professionals in this field. Basic Life Support classes offered by the American Heart Association are designed to equip individuals with essential skills to respond to medical emergencies. The NMTCB plays a crucial role in ensuring that individuals working in nuclear medicine technology meet competency standards through certification

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE

Holding certification from ARRT or a similar body such as NMTCB is deemed suitable, along with demonstrating strong organizational and communication talents.
