Auto Transport Specialist

Responsibilities:

• Drive tractor-trailers with an emphasis on both safety and productivity.
• Engage in thorough examinations both prior to departure and upon arrival to guarantee the vehicle is in a suitable condition for travel.
• Create optimized delivery schedules to increase productivity and meet time constraints.
• Ensure the safe transportation of goods by following appropriate handling and packaging guidelines.
• Ensure open and steady communication with dispatchers and customers.
• Make sure to accurately document hours worked and carry out routine vehicle maintenance examinations.
• Ensure full compliance with the safety regulations and guidelines outlined by the Department of Transportation (DOT).
• Ensure prompt reporting of all vehicle concerns, incidents, or infractions to uphold compliance standards.

Qualifications:

• Holding a valid Class A Commercial Driver鈥檚 License (CDL).
• Clear driving record devoid of any serious offenses.
• Complying with the DOT's standards for physical examinations and substance checks.
• Having strong skills in time management and organization is essential.
• Competence in the safe operation and movement of significant or oversized loads.
• Proficient in providing top-notch customer service and dedicated to fostering relationships.
• A strong focus on adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements, with a commitment to timely reporting of incidents.

Experience Levels Accepted:

• CDL Trainees
• CDL School Graduates
• Participants in our structured 12-week training program for new commercial drivers, designed to accelerate skill development for drivers with experience ranging from three months to five years.

Preferred Experience:

• Skillfulness in handling different types of trailers, which may include dry van, refrigerated, flatbed, and tanker trailers.
• Hands-on involvement in a range of unit operations, combination vehicle functionalities, and intermodal transport techniques.
• Skill in the proper handling of household belongings and unique cargo.
